Although much of India’s retail sector is heavily affected by economic recession, McDonald’s has benefit by the slowdown and is planning to expand, according to Amit Jatia, chairman of McDonald’s in western and southern of India. Why success in India has not been seen in countries in the Middle East where the fast food industry is still struggling with recession?
